ASEAN stands for Association of Southeast Asian Nations, Â "an intergovernmental organization (IGO), which was formed in August 8, 1967, after the signing of the ASEAN Declaration (also known as the Bangkok Declaration), the Department of Foreign Affairs of Thailand in Bangkok.
