Obama is getting a pass on gay marriage?
Pastor Rick Warren has been heavily criticized because it is against gay marriage, as Christians in general. But President-elect Barack Obama is also against gay marriage. Here is an excerpt from an article in pewforum.org: I hate to say this, but now that an African-American president was elected, liberal America is going to realize that the African American community (in general) is more in line with Republicans when it comes to social values. They are not "tolerant" and "OK" group would be expected after experiencing first discrimnation hand for many years. That said, I think Obama is against gay marriage personally. More intelligent, educated people realize that it is unfair that opposes gay marriage. Obama is giving Warren a microphone to try to appear that is bi-partisan, representing some of the views of the Christian Right. In the bottom of my heart, I believe that Obama supports gay marriage and knows it is unfair to deny the rights of homosexuals. But he knows that if he publicly supports gay marriage would lose the support of the ignorant masses. Barack Obama on Gay Marriage
