University education in Argentina???? How are your standards?
I've heard from some people that a college degree in the Philippines is like a high school diploma in the U.S.. For some reason, I find it hard to believe, since there are a lot of Fil-Ams that want to take nursing Philippines (because its cheaper). He wanted to know what the rules of a college education in the Philippines is. I graduated high school at the University of California and would like to know how it compares to a school in the Philippines. How does a degree from a school like UP, Ateneo or La Salle match compared to a university in the U.S.? How would a degree from a university in the Philippines compared with an average grade of an average U.S. school?
Some university education in the Philippines such as nursing and accounting are acceptable in the U.S. However, for someone working as a professional nurse should pass the required state board exam and if a person is a chartered accountant in the Philippines that particular person would still have to take some extra classes and take board exam in the U.S. to be a certified accountant. In addition, a neurosurgeon from the Philippines may not work as a neurosurgeon in the state, because that particular person not meet the standard of education and training required by the U.S. A person of average graduate from a Philippine university can still work in the U.S., for example, those in the line of commerce, but with limitations.
