The car of state for President of the United States is the car carrying the President of the United States, his family, his staff and Secret Service agents. When the president visits a foreign country, the presidential flag flying in front of the U.S. flag on the front the car is replaced by the flag of the country you are visiting at the time.

There are similar limousines are operated by the United States government that help transport VIP guests, visiting heads of government and heads of state. When it opened elect Barack Obama president on 20 January 2009, a new vehicle will be used for carrying Obama and his family. It is manufactured by GM and will not have a specific model name. The vehicle is called the "2009 Cadillac Presidential limousine.
